What is Skullcap Root Extract?

Skullcap root extract is derived from the dried roots of ScutellariabaicalensisGeorg Scutellaria baicalensis Georg. Skullcap root extract is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine. It is mainly produced in the north and has the largest yield in Shanxi Province. Also known as camellia root and earth golden tea root, it has the functions of clearing away heat, detoxifying and stopping bleeding. Scutellaria contains a variety of active chemical components, mainly flavonoids represented by baicalin.
